MCTools app: Privacy · Terms of Use · Support · About the app
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a license agreement between you and MCTools ("we", "us"), the creator of mc-tools.net, for the MCTools desktop app (the "app"). By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
These Terms are between you and us only, not with Overwolf. We, not Overwolf, are solely responsible for the app and its content. Overwolf will not be responsible for, and has no liability under, these Terms.
You and we agree that Overwolf and Overwolf's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that when you accept these Terms, Overwolf has the right (and is treated as having accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, worldwide license to use the app solely for your personal, non-commercial use, under these Terms. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, rehost, or reverse engineer the app, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law allows it regardless.
The app runs on Overwolf, so you must meet the age requirements of the Overwolf Terms of Use and follow them. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the app only with a parent or guardian's permission.
The packs, skins, capes, and other files you create with the app are yours. We claim no rights over them. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you import (images, audio, and so on), and for using your creations within Mojang's Minecraft Usage Guidelines and the rules of any server you play on.
The app writes files into your Minecraft folders when you ask it to (installs, restores, renames, settings applies). It takes safety copies where it can and will not change a game's files while that game is running, but you should keep your own backups of worlds you care about.
Your use of the app is at your own risk. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are responsible for any product warranties that cannot be disclaimed by law. Overwolf gives no warranty for the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost or corrupted game data, worlds, or files, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
If anyone claims that the app, or your having and using it, infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Overwolf, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
We are solely responsible for any maintenance and support of the app, as described on our support page or as required by law. Overwolf has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.
The app is free and shows ads served through the Overwolf platform (MCTools+ subscribers see no ads). The app and its ads may link to or use websites and services that belong to third parties (for example skin lookup services, Discord, or an advertiser's site). We have no control over third-party sites, are not responsible for their content or services, and do not endorse products or services offered by third parties. Use of third-party sites is at your own risk, so please use caution. You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, including the Overwolf Terms of Use and the Minecraft EULA.
The app and every tool in it are free. MCTools+ is an optional paid subscription. Nothing that is free today is taken away to sell it.
How the app handles data is described in the MCTools App Privacy Policy.
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may end your license if you break these Terms. The sections on ownership, warranty, liability, and intellectual property claims continue after it ends.
Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. MCTools is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
